Planning & Development - Bruce County Official Plan Amendment - Implementation

• Motion:

  That the County Official Plan Amendment – C-2023-008 Implementation Amendment be adopted; and,

  The appropriate By-Law be forwarded to County Council for adoption.

b.

Community Development Office - International Plowing Match - Request for Support

• Motion:

  That Bruce County support the efforts of the Bruce County Plowmen’s Association to host the 2026 International Plowing Match in Bruce County; and

  That Council support providing start-up funds of up to $100,000, conditions of which would be brought back at a future meeting.

c.

Corporate Services - 2024 Property Tax Policy Review

• Motion:

  That the 2024 County-wide tax ratios and class discounts be approved as set out in Appendix 1 and that staff be directed to prepare the necessary tax rates and ratio by-law; and,

  That the tax relief program for charities and other similar organizations be continued for the 2024 taxation year; and,

  That the tax relief program for low-income seniors and low-income persons with disabilities be continued for the 2024 taxation year; and,

  That no Optional Property Classes are recommended.

Corporate Services - Annual Capital Spending Overages Report

• Motion:
• Motion:

  That the capital spending overages outlined in the report for 2023 be allowed to be absorbed in the yearend surplus or deficit as they are immaterial in nature.

Striking Committee - Appointment to Committees

• Motion:
  1. That the Warden and Councillor Goetz be appointed to the Accessibility Advisory Committee.
  2. That Councillor Craig and Councillor Goetz be appointed to the Community Drug & Alcohol Strategy.
