a.

Clerk - 2025 Council Meeting Schedule

• Motion:

  That the following changes to the 2025 Council meeting schedule be approved:

  1. That the January 16 meeting be cancelled and rescheduled to January 23.
  2. That the July 3 meeting be cancelled and rescheduled to July 10.
  3. That the August 21 meeting be cancelled.
  4. That a budget meeting be scheduled for October 9, 2025.

b.

Clerk - Procedural By-law - Term of the Warden and Deputy Warden

• Motion:

  That the Procedural By-law be amended to change the term of the Warden and Deputy Warden’s positions from a one-year term to a two-year term.

c.

Striking Committee - Revisions to the Procedural By-law

• Motion:

  That a by-law be introduced to amend the Procedural By-law as follows:

  1. That Section 22.15 be amended to appoint the Clerk as Returning Officer, and the CAO and Deputy CAO be appointed as scrutineers for elections held during the inaugural sessions.
  2. That a nomination period for the election of Warden and Deputy Warden be added.
  3. That Section 21.1 be amended to allow any three members of Council to be appointed to the Grey Bruce Board of Health.
  4. That Section 21.2 be amended to allow any four members of Council to be appointed to the Bruce County Library Board, one of which may be the Warden or Deputy Warden, serving for the duration of the term of the position.

Community Development Office - Bruce C Initial Project Description

• Motion:

  That the attached comments on the Bruce C Initial Project Description be endorsed; and

  That Council direct staff to submit the County’s Comments to the Impact Assessment Agency of Canada.

Planning & Development - New Bruce County Official Plan

Presentation by Jack Van Dorp, Director of Planning & Development; Monica Walker-Bolton, Land Use Planning Manager; and Gregory Bender, WSP

• Motion:

  That the Planning and Development Department be directed to begin public engagement on the New Bruce County Official Plan, including scheduling three regional open houses; and

  That staff be directed to bring forward a final draft of the Official Plan for Council’s consideration prior to adoption.

  By-law 2024-051, being a by-law to appoint a Municipal Law Enforcement Officer to enforce the By-laws of the Corporation of the County of Bruce

  By-law 2024-052, being a by-law to adopt the Emergency Response Plan for the County of Bruce

  By-law 2024-053, being a by-law to adopt a Debt Management Policy for the County of Bruce.
